Meet the smergoers

Smergoer & smergos team member

“I love the people - they are so friendly, innovative and positive and not disabled - rather differently abled. It is also educational and has raised my awareness of the problems they face every day when, for instance, shopping. It makes me ashamed of how easily I complain about inconsequential problems. Their positive attitude is a regular reminder that I have much to be grateful for.”

“I love the sense of community that I feel when I engage with people who have and continue to deal with a road seldom traveled. Hearing about other people's disabilities and how they continue to grow gives me strength to live my life to a greater potential.”

“Smergos / the Smergos community / MOVE Talks represents the power of an open-minded collective. It’s for the people.

There’s a beautiful and calm synergy about everything. I love how the community creates a sense of curiosity and belonging. It’s a space for unique forms of “self-expression”. You never know who you are going to meet and how your life changes thereafter. ”
